My wife found this on eBay and bought it for me as a surprise. This plan and article ran over two issues of Science and Mechanics in 1955. I actually did build this boat and got some good mileage. However, the keel got wet and split, so it's retired. I made a pattern and intend to do her again - better this time.  See my build thread in the Forums.

This is the best I've ever seen.  Shot by Tim Senecal with a camera secured to the port side deck of Ted Schulte's notable Type VII.  They chose the port side because the starbord pressure hull hasn't been detailed just yet.

When thinking about breakthroughs in Radio Control technology, quite a few things come to mind.  From the first electronic speed control, dual throttle control, first computerized radio, and first synthesized radio, there have been a number of milestones. ISM band, or 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Technology can now be added to the major milestone list.
